Abstract:

The detachment from the country's political center and the geographical conditions of Baluchistan have caused the indigenous housing of the Balochs to maintain a stable pattern that was related to the culture of this people for many years, and continue its balanced life with small changes. Though the effect of the livelihood and economic system and variables such as the dry and harsh nature of Baluchistan cannot be ignored on the mood and habits and behavior of Balochs as well as the way their houses are built, what has shaped the spatial structure of the region's indigenous houses more deeply is the very strong connection between the culture and the texture of the Baloch tribes. On the one hand in close and intertwined relations with the characteristics based on the tribal texture of these people and on the other hand, according to systemic rules within the permanent architecture of indigenous housing, The Baloch house has been always emerged as a representation of the culture of the Baloch people. Nonetheless in recent years, the distorted conditions dominant in the architecture and urban planning of the country have upset its balance and created some discrepancies. Perceptibly, the continuance of this process will further damage the identity of the native architecture of the Baluchistan region. The current study aims to find the signs that the indigenous housing of the Balochs in its connections with what is happening in and around the Baloch culture, and for this purpose uses semiosphere as a tool to analyze the mechanism of the symbolic function of culture. For this purpose, culture is considered as a system that can be inspected from two aspects: first, the external expressions of culture that have become objective as signs of that culture in the native Baloch housing; Second, cultural commonalities as content elements or inner layers of Baloch culture that live in a semiosphere and have become the norm through repetition and acceptance, directing their different levels of life and passed down from generation to generation, and has shaped their collective memory. Semiosphere in this study has a dual function, both as a super-concept and a holistic method in the analysis of the native housing of the Baloch and considers the native Baloch housing as a space in which all forms of communication occur, and analyzes it in the semiosphere context. The result is that the spatial structure of the native house of the Balochs is very strongly connected with their ethnic / tribal culture and social structure, which is based on the kinship system, class system and nomadic traditions of this people without the intervention of architects. Biology is people who have lived in a semiosphere and found the best answers to their problems. By finding the cultural signs of the native Baloch housing and their modernization in new constructions, it is possible to make life in this type of housing and preserve its identity, which is built on the collective memory of this people.

Abstract:

A large number of houses all over Iran have an identity-less architecture that pays little if any attention to the architectural background of the region in which the houses are located, the needs and desires of the users, and even the sociocultural context of the abodes. The indigenous houses built in the central Baluchestan region have valuable cultural capacities. In this region, any type of housing model certainly has valuable and beneficial capacities, including cultural ones. Respect for elders, familial hierarchy, the possibility of multiple generations living in one house, etc. are among the cultural capacities of such houses, which are often neglected in modern designs. This study used a qualitative method consisting of library research and field surveys to identify the cultural capacities of indigenous housing in the central Baluchestan to improve the quality of modern housing models in the region and help enrich the identity of Iranian architecture. The findings of this study showed that cultural factors including customs, traditions, family and kinship ties have influenced the formation of indigenous houses in this area. They also suggested that using motifs and Colours according to the preferences and culture of the local people, proper interaction with neighbors, spatial flexibility based on the needs of the resident family, and harmony with the beliefs of the local people are among the most important cultural features and capacities of indigenous houses in this area.

Abstract:

One of the most significant features of Iranian society is immigrating of Iranian tribes to nearby and also to distant lands which, in different historical eras, has proved quite helpful in spreading great cultural achievements to overseas. Immigrating of Baloch people to Zanzibar, a Tanzanian archipelago off the coast of East Africa, and the critical role it plays in establishment of a Baloch community in some parts of countries such as Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and democratic Congo, have created friendly relationships among these differing communities without causing any biased discrimination against the Muslim inhabitants of these countries. This has led to remarkable consequences which will be discussed in this article. In fact, the writer will not only discuss about the reasons why such immigration happened and how those Baloch people from Iran (and Oman) have established a community in Zanzibar, but also he will trace the Baloch people’ s general conditions in this island since more than 350 years ago up to the present time. In addition, the article will investigate into their role in distribution of different aspects of Iran’ s civilization and culture in Zanzibar based on current documents.

Abstract:

One of the most important sectors of each culture is folklore, which consists of different dimensions. The present study, focused on the culture and literature of the Baloch people, aims to recognize in what dimensions the Baloch women have been embodied in the Baloch epics; secondly, what position they have in the society and their family? Therefore, the main objective of this study is to identify and interpret the mechanism that in Baloch epics provides for a specific situation and status in relation to the Baloch women. To this aim, the qualitative and documentary methods of analysis were employed; in order to better interpret the obtained data, some feminist theories such as radical feminism, social feminism, and liberal feminism were used critically to find out whether the issues that are extracted from the data could be discussed through these frameworks. The results show that the images obtained imply some dimensions such as: adversative of peace and lasting relations between the powerful chiefs; power and wealth; intelligence; bravery, and militancy; a shelter against danger; and the adversative of the family relations by doing wrong judgments. In general, it was found that women who are mentioned in the Baloch epics have an equal value and status compared with men.

Abstract:

Art is the true manifestation of the characteristics of the culture of any nation, and the flourishing of any civilization finds its reflection in the past tradition in art. In this position, the tradition of immutable principles is derived from culture, the manifestation of which can be seen at different times and places. From this point of view, any work of art, including architecture, is no exception to this rule,It contains a message that understanding this message means success in interpreting the effect. Part of this success is due to the discovery of hidden dimensions of the work (influential social layers) and the other part is due to the understanding of design. The research approach is quantitative and analyzes the spatial system in the native housing of Qajar in Isfahan with a combined descriptive-analytical strategy in case samples and logical reasoning using intertextual principles and space syntax technique. The results of the research show that with a comprehensive look at the spatial organization of Islamic architecture, it is possible to achieve a model of housing architecture suitable for the future of Islamic architecture in Iran.

Abstract:

Aims: Space is the core of how social and cultural events take place; Also, the relationship between activity and space is more comprehensible in the existing relationships between spaces and the relationships between audiences and social interactions than can be defined individually in the characteristics of space. This research tries to get acquainted with the graph theory and Space Syntax plugin; explaining its mathematical relations between the companionship of spaces in an example of Qajar houses in Isfahan. Methods: The research method of the study is a descriptive-analytical, sci-tech anaysis with a case study strategy, for which the definitions of “ Grasshopper” and” Space Syntax” are used to quantify it. The present study introduces the value of control in space, which implies the adaptability of space as one of the indicators of flexibility. Findings: As the most permeable space, the yard has the highest ability to create spatial coherence and the highest level of control over other spaces, and on the other hand, the service spaces have the least amount of flexibility. Conclusion: The results indicate that the courtyard positioning in the middle layers and its relationship with the intermediate spaces including the corridors, stairs, and partitions create a significant role for it, leading to its flexibility in the spatial configuration, while the location of yards in the primary layers in the contemporary homes has declined in importance and this role has been transferred to other spaces.

Abstract:

Background and Objective: Due to the growth of population and consequently the crisis caused by increase of energy demand, management of energy consumption has become inseparable from the issue of sustainability. Therefore, in this study, with a special emphasis on the importance of energy saving, optimization of energy consumption in housing sector are discussed through the contemporary native pattern designing in hot and dry regions. Method: Hence, the required information was collected by investigating the energy consumption in this sector through different patterns and designing the energy-efficient patterns to achieve this important issue. Findings: Due to the fact that the study was done on a case studies in Yazd city, the designing style of the buildings such as (direction of the thickness of the walls, height of the inner structures, etc. ) and the elements used (porches, plants, wind, etc. ), which have a direct effect on energy efficiency, are studied. Discussion and Conclusion: According to the results, the pattern of vernacular architecture and modern residential patterns for reducing energy consumption led to similar outcomes by implying that the proposed method can be efficient in reducing the energy consumption.
